Charities

The regulation of the accounts of charities has increased considerably over recent years. Registered charities with a gross income of more than £10,000 per annum must keep accounting records to comply with the Charities SORP, published by the Charities Commission. Charities with gross incomes of over £100,000 but less than £500,000 must have their annual accounts examined independently. When its income exceeds £500,000 a charity is required to have its annual accounts audited by a qualified firm of accountants.

Garners provide a comprehensive service of support to meet the specific needs of small and medium sized charities.

  • Advice on basic record keeping.
  • Preparation of annual accounts to comply with the Charities SORP.
  • Independent examinations and audits of charity accounts.
