Auditing and Statutory Reporting

An audit is a statutory requirement for all limited companies with an annual turnover of more than £5.6million and also for other organisations whose regulators or constitution provide for a special form of audit. It is also often required by bankers and other lenders of finance who require the assurance of the independent opinion of a qualified firm of accountants on a company’s financial statements.

Garners use a modern auditing system and techniques to provide our clients with an efficient and cost effective audit service. The knowledge we gain from our audit work often provides us with a valuable basis from which we can help our clients with other advisory services.

Companies whose turnover falls below £5.6million can now take advantage of an exemption not to have their annual accounts audited. These companies must still however, file their annual accounts with the Registrar of Companies in the format laid down by the Companies Act. Garners use the latest specialist computer software to ensure that our clients’ accounts fulfil this requirement.
